Volunteer Information

Kitchen Helper – Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, or dishes. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Warm a variety of foods, such as meats, potatoes and vegetables. Slice, transfer desserts to saucers and place on the dessert table. Pour drinks into cups to be placed on the drink table. Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas such as food warmers and refrigerators to ensure holding temperatures are maintained. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetable salads, to prepare for cooking or serving. Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets.

Food Server – Serve guests as they come through the food line. Monitor food distribution to ensure portion sizes, Place food servings on plates. Ensure serving utensils are used in the designated food pan. Monitor serving techniques to ensure that proper procedures are followed. Restock food, plates, cups, utensils, and napkins.

Busser – Perform cleaning, set tables, Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths. Clean up spilled food or drink and remove trash from tables and receptacles. Empty trash in dumpster.
