Bible Study
Bible study is important to all believers in Christ. Studying the Bible reveals how to live by God’s standards. From the book of Genesis, we discover a God who desires a relationship with us. Today, as new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), we have the Bible; God’s written Word showing us how to live according to God’s ways. God has given us His written Word, so we may not alter it. It is written so we may come back to it, time and again to memorize and to study it – all this to one central purpose, so that we may know how to love God and relate to Him. Bible Study Meets on Wednesday Nights starting at 6:30 PM Teen Explosion

Men’s Ministry Purpose is to encourage men in:
Workforce Development
Workforce Development Ministry is a support ministry with the sole purpose of training God’s children in the organizational functions of kingdom building. The Workforce Development Ministry will achieve its purpose by focusing on the internal and external factors towards kingdom building. The organizational functions of the church cover everything from the day to day. To be simply stated - The business of the church. It is great to get caught up in praise and worship and to get touched by the Holy Ghost. By the same note, it is also a great joy to know that you are being stewards of God’s gifts and blessings and that you are handling God’s work decent and in order.
There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land. - Deuteronomy 15:11 SJMBC Ministries assist individuals in meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and spiritual nurturing. Servants to serve others in need even when it is not convenient. Missionary
For I was an hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Matthew 25:35-36
Deacons
Deacons serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church-doing the benevolence work, visiting the sick, being alert to the spiritual needs of the congregation-for the purposes of freeing the pastoral staff to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word, promoting unity within the church, and facilitating the spread of the gospel. Instructional Computer Lab (ICL)
SJMBC -ICL is a computer program is geared towards training people who have had little or no exposure to computers that require hands-on instruction in a peer-assisted environment. Classes are small, with a maximum of 6 individuals per class. These classes are taught by trained volunteers using an easy to understand customized curriculum. When class participants master the basics and want more instruction, we encourage them to take classes at the beginning stage at Lewis and Clark Community College.
The Hospitality Ministry will serve to create an atmosphere of love and fellowship for visitors. In most cases, members of our Hospitality Team are the first people our guests will encounter in the process of navigating their way into the church sanctuary and around the church facility. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. - Romans 15:7 Ushers
Culinary
The culinary ministry supervises food service components at SJMBC. The ministry has accountability of the kitchen and dining areas. The Culinary Ministry provides food for all special occasions, upon request from other SJMBC ministries, whether a full dinner or just appetizers. The Culinary Ministry also assists with funerals, receptions and other church supported activities. Beautification
The responsibility of the Beautification Ministry is to beautify and maintain the beautification of the church. The Beautification Ministry will provide their expertise and offer recommendations needed to beautify other areas as needed inside our church building. The Beautification Ministry's objective is to make our church as beautiful and comfortable as it can possibly be. We can obtain this goal through prayers, faith, careful planning, wise budgeting and hard work.
Our worship service at SJMBC is an attitude of heart, a reaching towards God, a pouring out of our total self in thanksgiving, praise, adoration and love to the God who created us and to whom we owe everything. Worship is the interaction of man's spirit with God in a loving response. Praise Team
